    LB has an immediate opening for a Account Manager – Fire Alarm/Life Safety. This position is vital to the success of the Los Angeles regional office (local candidates only) and is responsible for:
     

     
    Essential Responsibilities:
     
    1. Responsible for the sales of independent system testing and inspection services, and related life safety consulting services to the building and facilities management industry.
     
    2. Assist client in sourcing repair subcontractors, evaluation and coordination of subcontractor for on-site work.
     
    3. Develop client relationships that drive “recurring revenue” through one-on-one interactions and group presentations.
     
    4. Prepare pricing, proposals and specifications.
     
    5. Provide oversight coordination regarding inspection scheduling.
     
    6. Review and coordinate inspection reports provided by subcontractors as required.
     
    7. Perform maintenance audit evaluations and provide conclusion report.
     
    8. Successfully manage the interaction between subcontractors and clients.
     
    9. Develop a database of qualified clients through existing company client lists, referrals, prospecting, direct mail, email, and networking.
     
    10. Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities to maintain accurate records and maximize territory potential.
     
    11. Develop a comprehensive annual sales/marketing/consulting plan.
     
    12. Respond to clients email, phone calls, letters, etc., on a daily basis and in a courteous and professional manner.
     
    13. Complete necessary management reporting in a timely manner (time tickets, expense reports, billing instructions, etc.)
     
    14. Travel to and from client and job-site locations in and outside the local commuting area.
     
    Other Job Requirements:
     
    1. Provide assistance in accounts receivable as required.
     
    2. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
     
    3. Coordinate with HQ Contract Administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
     
    Requirements
     
    1. Have at least five years of successful sales experience in the life safety field, preferably in selling services, not systems.
     
    2. Have extensive references attesting to previous success in this field.
     
    3. Have a strong technical background in the fire alarm/fire protection/life safety systems field. Candidates with industry certifications, such as NICET, are strongly preferred.
     
    4. Be knowledgeable about national and local codes and standards relevant to life safety systems and inspections and be competent to advise building owners and managers on various technical aspects of life safety systems and inspections.
     
    5. Be a self starter with a sales personality and the ability to build relationships while selling consultatively.
     
    6. Professional writing skills in order to complete consultant reports.
     
    7. Ability to coordinate own and others’ actions, manage own time and manage personnel resources.
