We are a law firm that is currently in need of a Bankruptcy/Immigration paralegal. Paralegal must do general administrative duties in addition to legal ones and be able to work independently. You can potentially become the assistant to lead attorney with more duties and pay. Our firm has been in practice for over 10 years and the current person has been employed nearly 5. For BK, you would liaison with independent paralegals who file on our behalf as well as trustees. You need to have a good basis and knowledge of chapter 7 and 13. For immigration you must understand H1B, permanent residence through work and family, as well as E2 and other non immigrant filings. In addition our firm does handle real estate issues on occasion and has an existing loan modification clientele that you would potentially deal with from time to time. Salary negotiable based upon experience and knowledge level but not to be below $30k++. Looking for a person quick on their feet, sharp, who does not need to be told twice. Writing is also a necessary evil so you must be able to compose letters but arguments as well. Administrative duties include light accounting and accounts payable. Medical and Parking after 3 months probation. College graduates preferred but not required. Multilinguals a plus. Please respond with a resume and a writing sample if available.
