Bookkeeper/Property Manager – Commercial Real Estate (Culver City)

Commercial real estate firm based in Culver City seeks full charge bookkeeper with knowledge of Quickbooks who also possesses strong property management experience. This is a unique position for an independent individual who is able to multi-task and perform the dual roles of company bookkeeper and property manager for a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties in Southern California. The successful applicant will enjoy working for a small, family-owned business.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in real estate field, commercial property management strongly preferred
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, full charge preferred
• Must be very proficient with Quickbooks, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be professional, organized, and willing to work independently
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsBookkeeping Responsibilities:
• Prepare rent statements and other tenant invoices
• Enter rent payments and make bank deposits (all aspects of accounts receivable)
• Enter and pay bills (all aspects of accounts payable)
• Payroll (Quickbooks Enhanced Payroll)
• Prepare financial statements and other reports
• Make journal entries as directed by outside accountantProperty Management Responsibilities:
• Assist as needed with lease negotiations, tenant improvements, move-in and move-out coordination, etc.
• Familiarity with AIR lease forms and WinAIR software a plus
• Maintain lease files and rent rolls
• Respond to tenant requests and handle minor problems
• Work closely with operations manager on building maintenance issues
• Research and obtain competitive bids from vendors
• Prepare CAM reconciliations
• Make collection calls, send three day notices
• General office management and administrative support (phones, mail, filing, everyday correspondence)Hours: Full Time
