PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Performs the setup and acquisition of prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
-Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
-Obtains and verifies physician order.
-Selects proper equipment settings and technical factors.
-Recognizes anatomy and pathology.
-Correctly identifies and labels films, images, and data submitted to the physician for interpretation.
-Optimizes the image quality of the films, images, and data submitted to the physician for interpretation.
-Obtains and verifies required documentation. (i.e. H&P; Lab.; Surgery & Path. Reports; Physician order; Consent; and previous Diagnostic/Therapeutic Exam Reports, Insurance or program eligibility.)
-Performs room setup to ensure safety and prevent contamination.
-Selects proper equipment and technical factors.
-Performs room cleanup.
-Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements as indicated. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
-Ensures the efficient operation and workflow of the department by scheduling and re-evaluating workflow throughout the day.
-Assist in the preparation of department site visits and audits.
-Prepares and maintains accurate documentation
-Assistance with scanning of electronic medical records.
-Maintains accurate department data for reporting purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Requires certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and state licensure. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: LIMITED CRT LICENSE with BONE DENSITY CERTIFICATION.
-Must possess good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, physicians and patients.
-Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Prepares and provides data/reports on financial data and annual budget.
• Forecasts revenues, expenditures, and year-end balance.
