Responsibilities include:

- Managing product development and the entire production process from initial concept through to bulk production.

- Complete final review of all pre-production samples.

- Speaking overseas on phone and on Skype to the factories

- Maintaining spreadsheets of production flow and inventory count

 Proactively look for opportunities to optimize margin and improve customer value through supplier renegotiation.

 Yield Management — working with Sales & Marketing to optimize tour departure occupancy.
 Works with the Air Department to identify the best commercial and tactical opportunities for the supply of air add-ons.

 Maintains and inputs comprehensive tour data and component level pricing in Travel Studio reservations system.
 Works with operations to provide tour set-up data for Travel Studio and ensure on time ‘on sale’.
 Seeks to understand emerging trends, opportunities and threats for assigned regions and keeps abreast of current news and security issues.
 Develops relevant tourist board relationships to exploit marketing and contribution opportunities.
 Produce competitive analysis to support new tour proposals and existing tour reviews.
 Reports monthly on completed tour results including budget vs. expense variances and survey results.
 Works with marketing to determine what sells and how to best market products based on internal customer surveys, external market research, and industry trends. Will drive promotion of the product.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous relevant experience is REQUIRED for this role. We would be particularly interested to hear from candidates who have experience working with cruise products, but this is not essential.
 Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in the travel and tourism industry.
 Minimum of three years management level in the travel industry with product & commercial experience and responsibility.
 Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to direct the actions of others.
 Strong negotiation, project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize.
 Must possess innovative and creative thinking skills to “think out of the box” with regards to marketing solutions, especially with respect to industry and competitive trends.
