Job Requirements:

• 4-year college degree in Business Administration, International Business or related experience. .
• Must have 3-5 yrs experience working in International Trading or Imports of Frozen Seafood products.

• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Additional Language preferred Mandarin or Vietnamese but not required.

Job Description:

• Candidate will coordinate sourcing and buying of international frozen seafood products and domestic products.
• Will work with direct suppliers/vendors or brokers to source good quality products.
• Will evaluate suppliers/vendors based on product quality, documentation and shipping schedule.
• Will coordinate logistics of products and documentation needed for customs clearance.

Candidate must have strong negotiating skills, be able to work independently and efficiently under high pressure to meet deadlines.

NTMA Training Centers of Southern California, a private non-profit trust organization with 2 campuses in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas has immediate openings for highly motivated, results-oriented PART-TIME and FULL-TIME Machinist Instructors to work at our Norwalk, CA campus. This is a GREAT opportunity for experienced Machinists to pass on their knowledge to others! Flexible schedules available as the NTMA Training Centers hold classes from 7am — 11pm Monday thru Friday (multiple classes throughout the day). Current immediate need is our daytime part-time shifts from 7:30am-12:00pm and from 1:00pm-5:30pm M-F, but we welcome applicants for both full and part time shifts! WE WILL TRAIN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TEACHING EXPERIENCE!

Instructor Responsibilities:
• Successfully teach Machining Fundamentals, Shop Theory, Math (Geometry/Trigonometry), Blueprint Reading, Conventional Machine Operations, CNC Programming, Inspection, and Mastercam Version 9.1 and Version X to students — note: not all of the above required to teach every course
• Follow course syllabus to ensure students get thorough instruction
• Develop and teach lesson plans to students for each program
• Assist students with any additional needs/help to succeed in class
• Keep up to date with attendance/roll sheets and follow up with Office Staff if students miss class
• Communicate with Lead Instructor and Campus Director to ensure prompt attention with any issues that arise within the classes

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Expert level experience with Conventional Machines, CNC, Mastercam, Inspection, Blueprint Reading, Shop Theory, Machining Fundamentals, Math in a manufacturing environment
• Teaching/Instructing experience preferred but not required
• Exceptional communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships students, faculty and staff

The main responsibility consists of computer activities recording merchandise received from manufacturers to be sold at our stores, which involve heavy use of our computer program and some data entry. Duties and responsibilities
1. Generate purchase orders for all office and packaging supplies needed for business operations.
Confirm accuracy of prices and obtain final approval from Purchasing Director to issue PO’s and close cycle of purchase order activity in Solomon system.
2. Communicate with our procurement manager in Asia to verify product FOB prices in question before issuing purchase orders.
Issue finished goods purchase orders based upon requests by Inventory Analyst and Management.
Send purchase orders to overseas vendors and request and confirm agreement to terms of purchase order.
3. Monitor and maintain work in process (WIP) report in Bluecherry system with correct order quantities and delivery dates based on communication with vendors and internal personnel.
4. Monitor and maintain collaboration web site system. Transfer data from collaboration system to Bluecherry system as required.
5. Request and follow up as needed to obtain required shipping documentation from overseas vendors. Apprise vendors as changes in documentation requirements change.
6. Maintain a file with templates of all forms and documentation–ISF, packing list, Invoice, WIP update form–ready to email to new vendors as needed.
7. Maintain open communication with all vendors and all internal departments–Inventory control, Shipping, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Service.

Job Duties
