Work Duties 
Bidding / Estimating  
Pre-construction and buyout of commercial construction projects.  
Performing take-offs from bid documents. 
Managing the dissemination and collection of bid documents to various subcontractors. 
Attending pre-bid job walks 
Preparing a detailed, accurate commercial construction estimate and scope letter.  
Work in collaboration with the assigned project manager, project superintendent, project engineer, and project coordinator and report to the executive management team.  
 
Successful candidates will have:  
A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field), or 7 years of position-related experience.  
Strong mathematical, analytical, time management and multi-tasking skills.  
Effective negotiation and complex problem solving skills.  
Good communication skills: written and verbal.  
Proficient computer skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and other project-related software.  
Strong knowledge of construction estimating software 
Thorough knowledge of commercial construction activities and business management, along with a working knowledge of state contractors license law.  
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to conduct project site visits.  
UDA Construction Software experience is preferred but not required
