POSITION: CONTROLLER
 
INDUSTRY: COMMERICAL FINANCE
 
LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA
 

 
Commercial finance company is seeking a hands-on full charge Controller to manage most all aspects of it accounting functions, including:
 

 
• Day to day transactional work
 
• Cash & treasury management
 
• Supervising subordinates
 
• Month & year end close
 
• Issuing interim and YE FS
 
• Daily reporting to management
 
• Maintaining accounting system / database
 
• Establishing budgets
 
• Participating in management meetings
 
• Interacting with bankers and firm CPAs
 

 
This is a hands-on position.
 

 
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
 

 
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Business Administration
 
• Minimum 5 years experience in similar role in commercial finance or similar industries (CPA certification a plus)
 
• Previous experience managing both department output and staff
 
• Strong MS Office (Word, Excel) skills
 
• Strong verbal & written communication
 
• Strong planning and organization skills
 
• Able to provide leadership through demonstrating consistency in the areas of ethics, punctuality, dependability, judgment, and professionalism
 
• Other – Strong problem solver, incorporates business acumen and both innovatively and strategically in their approach to work and problem solving
