In this position you will serve as a Criminal Investigator in the Office of Inspections, Office of Inspector General, Office of Secretary, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. If selected for this position, specifically you will:

Conduct research and analysis of cases to determine the applicable laws and the implementing regulations that were violated. Assess and evaluate required evidence for prosecution or administrative action.

Conduct interviews with suspects, witnesses, and informants. Plan, coordinate and initiate contact with other OS offices; Federal agencies, and local, county and State officials on complex issues of jurisdiction and matters under investigation.

Prepare written investigative memoranda, summary of facts, comprehensive final reports, reports of interview, subpoenas, and other documents required for prosecutive and management officials. Prepare Management Implication Reports and Fraud Alerts in cases where programmatic weaknesses and vulnerabilities are identified.
