Customer Service Expert (San Fernando Valley)

  • Job Title: Customer Service — part time can grow to full time — Bilingual Spanish & English required
    Wages: Depending on experience, $10.00-15.00 per hour. Benefits: After 90 days, Flexible Spending Account (medical and or dependent care) funded by employer. After 1 year, 401K retirement and health insurance partially funded by employer.

    Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support, maintains required database input and is responsible for successful organization and dissemination of client information and files. The position encompasses broad responsibilities in support of the Supervising Counselor in the overall management of our clients by performing the following duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Provides telephone support, problem resolution and customer service as required.*

    2. Responds to phones, live chat, voicemail and webmail during assigned shift.

    3. Utilizes all available training materials to ensure proper handling of calls.

    4. Provides prompt, courteous and dependable service when dealing with all customer care issues.*

    5. Maintains high standards of employment by seeking assistance from supervisors whenever necessary.*

    6. Performs additional tasks within the scope of ability as requested by supervisor.

    7. Delivers certificates via email, or as requested, to clients and attorneys in a timely manner.*

    8. Issues certificates from Department of Justice website as appropriate.

    9. Schedules and provides live credit counseling phone courses and updates calendar accordingly as needed.

    10. Provides live credit counseling and financial management courses for clients when necessary.

    Language Ability: Bilingual Spanish & English
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to spell, and write clearly and concisely in response to requests for information, for routine reports and correspondence.

    Math Ability:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; internet software and Microsoft Outlook.

    Education/Experience:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Credit Counseling or financial education experience preferred.

    Equipment:
    Personal computer, high speed internet access in case work at home office is necessary
