Cutting edge online development company is looking for individuals who want a career as a systems administrator. The position will be working within a team environment to support dynamic sophisticated web sites utilizing cutting edge web technologies and proven development methods. Position is immediately available at an online development company located in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Servicing Fortune 500, online music industry and major entertainment companies, building innovative applications across multiple platforms using technologies such as AJAX, Flash, PHP and Java.

This position will be for remote hands needs for our network and customers using our data center. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for advancement in their career.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support via phone, help desk and email.
Work with diverse clients systems
System builds and os installation (Redhat, CentOS, Windows, VMWare).
Work with server hardware and parts replacement.
Racking servers and running network cables.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
Work with direction of support team members.

Skills:

Must have used Linux and had some command line experience.
Knowledge of DNS, MySQL, and Apache useful
Understanding of CGI, PHP and HTML
Understanding of Tomcat useful
Understanding of Cpanel useful
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work well with customers over phone
Ability to install Linux or Windows server software
Understanding of basic networking
Basic understanding of switching and routing a plus.
