Director of Sales and Marketing Operations (Thousand Oaks)

  • The Director of Marketing and Sales Operations will manage the people and programs responsible for lead and revenue generation by overseeing all marketing activities such as traditional advertising, web marketing, e-mail campaigns, marketing collateral production, and special promotions.

    The selected individual will also have hands-on responsibility for managing successful sales lead generation campaigns, producing compelling sales tools, and doing “whatever it takes” to ensure the company meets its revenue objectives. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced teamwork environment.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Conceptualize, write and supervise production of advertising and marketing collateral
    • Develop and execute online e-commerce ordering and sales lead generation programs
    • Evaluate campaign results and optimize programs to continuously improve the cost and quality of sales leads and channels
    • Initiates new programs to generate revenue and implements programs within the marketplace, including trade shows, event marketing, retail tie-ins, community/civic partnering, targeting the health and nutrition professional community and direct marketing.
    • Lead implementation of local media needs/ assessments to nationally driven integrated advertising campaigns in print, radio and video.
    • Select advertising agencies to abide by company advertising and branding standards.
    • Liaison for public relations efforts.
    • Conduct and report on post campaign evaluations for local campaigns.
    • Track and report on results of programs to senior management
    • Manage the creation and execution of quarterly marketing plans, within budget parameters and strategic goals.
    • Budget management of local marketing programs.
    • Supply market intelligence to customize national campaigns based on competitive, demographic, psychographic, qualitative and quantitative assessment.
    • Manage writing and development of web site content, presentation materials, white papers, case studies and other sales tools.
    • Create, maintain and enforce corporate messaging and graphics standards
    • Manage Marketing and Sales Operations staff by planning, monitoring, counseling and appraising job performance of managers and employees.

    Required Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing and/or Communications; MBA a plus
    • Minimum of 15 years experience in Sales and Marketing operations with increasing levels of responsibility
    • Minimum of 8 years experience managing Marketing and Sales Operations staff
    • Minimum of 5 years developing and executing online lead generation campaigns
    • Strong familiarity with the Health, Nutraceuticals and Health Maintenance related products
    • Strong organizational management and analytical skills
    • Outstanding oral and written communications skills
    • Flexibility and ability to support multiple initiatives in fast-paced environment
    • Highly collaborative and team oriented
    • Demonstrated ability to meet business goals and targets
    • Experience in brand positioning, pricing and reimbursement, multiple channels sales and internet/e-commerce ordering/and fulfillment strategies
    • Good understanding of the market share increase and consumer behavior monitoring
    • Flexibility and ability to support multiple initiatives in fast-paced environment
    • Relevant computer literacy
