Director of Structural Engineering 
 
This individual will be responsible for managing a structural engineering group of about 15 to 30 within a 230 person California multi-disciplined design firm. Our firm provides the following design services: architect, interiors, landscape, structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, and energy services. The position requires the following skills, experience and capabilities: 
 
1. At least 15 years of progressively responsible structural engineering experience in building structures 
2. At least 10 years of this experience should be in California 
3. An “SE” Structural Engineering designation in CA at a minimum 
4. Extensive DSA experience 
5. Superior communication skills 
6. High Level Leadership and Management skills 
7. K-12 and Higher Education Building Experience 
8. Marketing experience is a plus but not required 
9. Seismic retrofit experience is a plus 
10. OSHPD and medical experience is a plus 
 
We expect this position to lead the structural discipline. However, this position also has the potential to provide leadership and represent other engineering disciplines and the firm as a whole. Experience and an orientation toward integrated teamwork is a must for us. This is a collaborative high service environment with a premium reputation for design and service.
