Position Description
EBI Consulting is a top national environmental consulting firm that provides regulatory compliance services for the wireless telecommunications industry. We are seeking a full-time Project Scientist to join our talented staff of engineers, scientists, archaeologists and historians to perform investigations of various property types and conduct independent research of local, state, and federal resources for the preparation of ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Screening Reports for proposed telecommunications facilities. The position typically involves approximately 50% field time and 50% office time.
Experience required
- Prior experience with ASTM Phase I ESA and NEPA Reports conducted for wireless carriers, tower companies, acquisition firms, or lenders.
- A professional science degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, geology, engineering, or related field, and at least two years professional experience in NEPA consulting and/or due diligence.
- An understanding of and experience with NEPA reviews for proposed construction projects, including evaluating impacts to floodplains, wetlands, endangered species habitats, and historic properties .
- Excellent report writing skills, computer and internet skills .
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will require you to simultaneously manage electronic deliverables on many ongoing projects.
- Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budget.
- Ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less). This position will require travel primarily throughout the Southeastern Regions as well as occasional trips throughout the US in an effort to support national needs. All related travel expenses are reimbursed.
- LBP and ACBM Certification a PLUS.
- Section 106 consultation experience is a PLUS.
- RF Safety Compliance experience is a PLUS.
Education Requirements
BA or BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Geology, Engineering or related fields.
