We are a private language school in the heart of Hollywood teaching ESL to students from all over the world. A part-time teacher is needed for immediate start, as well as substitute teachers to be on-call for future teaching opportunities. Opportunities for additional hours, including teaching afternoon electives or individual lessons are available, depending on your performance and availability.

Candidates with the following qualifications only will be contacted:
* Earned Masters in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or closely related field; a Bachelors plus CELTA or its equivalent (TEFL Certificate) will be considered for exceptional candidates.
* Experience in teaching reading, writing/composition, grammar, and listening/speaking. iBT TOEFL prep and/or Cambridge FCE exam prep is a plus.
* Two or more years classroom teaching ESL to students from a variety of cultural backgrounds — overseas teaching experience is preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience using technology in the classroom, such as interactive white boards, Blackboard, digital video/audio, and online course components, etc.
* Willingness and ability to organize and lead field-trips around the LA area.

The successful candidate will be personable, professional, flexible, and show a passion for teaching.

Teaching hours are from 0900 – 1215 Monday thru Friday, or 16.25 hours/week.
