General Manager
A fine dining restaurant is seeking a seasoned General Manager with extensive experience and knowledge in the restaurant industry. The position is available for immediate hire to the right candidate.Duties will include but not limited to:
• Opening & closing restaurant daily
• Understanding sales & labor reports
• Training and motivating staff
• Liquor and wine ordering
• Scheduling and organizing FOH staff shifts
• Maintain inventory of wine
• Responding to customer complaints/comments
• Meeting and greeting customers
• Managing staff and providing them with feedback
• Coordinate with office manager with hiring and payrollSkills:
• Must have a willingness to learn
• Understand food and labor cost
• Time management
• Leadership characteristics
• Outstanding customer service
• At least three years experience in the restaurant business with references (they will be checked)
• Ability to work open to close, weekends and holidays, six days a week
• Must have strong computer skills and can type! (ex. word, excel, OpenTable, Restaurant Manager POS)
• Must have Italian wine, Italian food, cocktails & liquor knowledge
• Must have a positive attitude!
• Must be able to work well with others
