EXPERIENCED MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR & UNDERWRITER NEEDED! (Glendale)

    This position is responsible for processing of mortgages and communication with internal and external clients. The results must be produced in such a way that the Clients and Referral Partners have a positive experience and are motivated to refer their family and friends to our company and its Team Members (Loan Officers). It is essential to maintain excellent relationships with our Clients, Team Members, Referral Partners, Underwriters, Lender Account Executives, Appraisers and Closing Agents. The right candidate will establish and maintain a high level of personal service, education and commitment to client services in order to teach them the principles of Fiscal Literacy and maximize in and out-bound referrals from each transaction, will assist Team Members and Clients alike and will assist Referral Partners, wherever possible, to add true value to their business. The candidate must commit to personal growth, team vision and taking action to accomplish individual and team results.

    PRINICPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyzing loan applications and documentation (including but not limited to credit report, prelim, appraisal, tax returns, etc.) to all applicable guidelines and program profiles, gathering pertinent background information and ensuring that all loans are processed accurately and are properly documented.
    • Processing from beginning to end including pre-underwriting
    • Providing excellent customer support by making required number of contacts each day/week and month to ensure both internal and external client satisfaction and in turn, referral business , via phone, e-mail and other methods of communication when necessary
    • Having a smooth work flow by enforcing and improving if need be the process set in place
    • Handling a high volume of loans and multitasking between e-mail, phone and internal clients
    • Strong organizational skills required
    • Working effectively in a “team” atmosphere
    • Opening and submitting mortgage files to underwriting
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
    • Knowledge of conventional and government loan programs
    • Strong customer service skills and attention to details.
    • Setting up and maintaining the integrity of client records in POINT and update regularly and coordinating with Client Services/ Operations Manager the information necessary to keep contact database up-to-date.
    • Working with Team Members (Loan Officers) to insure fully completed loan applications and smooth client communication and education.
    • Other duties as needed.

    • Desire and aptitude to learn and become proficient in our systems and software programs
    • Exceptional time management skills
    • Detail-oriented and well-organized
    • Able to work independently with little supervision at times
    • Able to work under occasional periods of heavy pressure
    • Friendly and service-oriented personality with true empathy for Client concerns.
    • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to enlist the cooperation of others (Clients, Realtors, Underwriters, Appraisers, Closing Agents, etc.) in order to achieve the common goal of loan approval and closing.

    • Desire to perform at a high level to achieve team and individual goals and earn additional income based on achieving TEAM production goals.
    • Ability to work well with and nurture others for benefit of team success and results
    • High School Diploma

    TIME REQUIREMENTS

    Our normal business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. As needed, you may be required to work outside our normal business hours, to meet production dates and closing dates as loan volume dictates.

    COMPENSATION

    This position will be salary plus bonus. The salary is compensation for the activities described under “Principal Responsibilities”. The bonus structure is based on actual results of those activities. The bonus plan will be based on the Team’s ability to produce Gross Commission Income in excess of Team’s base revenue requirement.
