Facilities Manager (Long Beach, CA)

  • We are a medium sized organization currently hiring for a full-time Facilities Manager. This person will have overall responsibilities for the building, maintenance employees and building repairs.

    General responsibilities include:

    Responsibility for maintenance and presentation of a professional environment
    Management of maintenance employees
    Manage and create annual budgets
    Hire, train and motivate staff
    Ability to instill a sense of pride in work and provide exceptional customer service
    Maintain all 3rd party vendor relationships
    Manage special projects as necessary
    Oversee building improvement projects, design and construction work

    Summary of Requirements:
    3-5 years’ experience managing employees
    5 years project, property or facility management experience
    Experience with vendor management and cost negotiation
    Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities with competing deadlines
    Must have strong decision making skills and meet aggressive deadlines and advance processes with little supervision
    Should have excellent management instincts and know what to do and when to seek guidance and approval
    Must have exceptional customer service and instill these qualities into existing staff
