Field Technical Sales Specialist (Los Angeles, CA)

  • Position Description
    This Western US field position is a pre- and post-sales technical sales/relationship role supporting the field sales force in Lenovo’s Large Enterprise, Public Sector (state and local government as well as education) and Global segments. Ideally the candidate would be located in greater Los Angeles area, but consideration also given to greater Southern California area. The candidate will support direct customer technical pre-sales efforts with onsite technical presentations on the Lenovo’s entire portfolio of hardware, software (Utimaco, LANDesk, etc) and services offerings. Consultations and teleconference (WebEx for example) will also be required. The candidate will act as a technical advisor from the pre-sales activities through post sales activities. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of strong selling background and technical acumen. Very strong communications/presentation skills are also a must.

    Position Requirements

    -5-7 years experience technical sales and consultative support in the PC Industry.

    -Hardware and software integration experience required (Systems management solutions i.e. LANDesk, SCCM, etc., certifications not required, but a plus)

    -Candidates must have demonstrated extensive knowledge of the PC industry and relevant trends.

    -Excellent relationship/team building skills

    -Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills

    -Ability to present at the IT staff and senior management level.

    -Some regional travel (20%-30%)
