Freelance JavaScript Application Developer

STATE OF TOMORROW is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and skilled JavaScript Application Developer to work on a series of projects and web sites. The ideal person is excited about working with cutting-edge web technologies and concepts, has experience developing for cross-browser compatibility, and has a solid understanding of asynchronous development/advanced JavaScript concepts such as closure. Experience working with CSS3 transitions and other methods of implementing basic animation is a plus.

We are a fashion-focused marketing agency that provides full service solutions to our clients; Our current projects include an application that has the potential to revolutionize how fashion companies do business with retailers and a flexible, scalable content management system aimed at dramatically improving how fashion companies conduct e-commerce.

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including an understanding of scope resolution, closure, DOM manipulation, and perceived vs actual load time optimization
- Strong cross-browser HTML and CSS skills
- Experience working with HTML 5 and CSS 3
- Strong understanding of asynchronous development using promises
- An understanding of DOM manipulation via jQuery or another similar framework
- An eye for detail

Would Be Nice:
- Experience working with node.js
- Experience working with MongoDB

As a freelance position, the hours are flexible and the projects will be plentiful — we do, however, require someone local to Los Angeles (specifically West Hollywood) as some in-office meetings and work will be required.
