Leading lifestyle direct response marketing company is looking for an exceptional Front-End Web Developer for their privately held company located in Santa Monica. The Front-End Web Developer will join the web development team to help rapidly grow the consumer-facing ecommerce and online entertainment subscription businesses.

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated web graphics and flash developer to contribute to next-generation destinations for entertainment content, social applications, and other services. The successful candidate has the talent to produce effective and amazing interactive web experiences that directly cause consumers to make purchases. You’ll be working with a small, world-class technology team on leading-edge applications for a company with a successful internationally famous entertainment brand.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing the presentation layer of new large-scale sites
• Maintain and expand current member based web properties delivering video content
• Produce compelling Flash animations for online advertising
• Optimize and tune the experience for optimal performance and user experience
• Ensure browser compatibility across the supported platforms
• Quickly resolve production issues and defects as they arise
• Update content on site using CMS and by hard coding

Requirements:
• BA degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of web graphics production experience
• 2+ years creating direct response websites and landing pages a must
• Solid experience delivering rich, complex user experiences over the web
• Expertise with Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS
• Video Rendering and Encoding into Flash and MP4 format; must know how to render Hi Def quality while maintaining reasonable file size
• Must be able to take a design and use HTML and CSS to turn into site
• Able to work independently, on accelerated deadlines, without sacrificing quality or consistency
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The legal right to work in the US
• LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) experience a plus
• Familiarity with JavaScript, AJAX, XML, HTML5 a plus
• Familiarity with WordPress, Modx CMS a plus
• STRONG SEO awareness and experience a plus
• Development for iPad a plus
