Full Time Operations/Purchasing Analyst (Sherman Oaks)

Responsibilities:
The Operations/Purchasing Analyst will be a responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels, inventory turnover, managing our overseas manufacturing, and providing necessary sales & product insights.
Responsibilities fall into four main areas:
Inventory Management
- Forecast and maintain inventory levels of 200+ items to ensure items are always in stock.
- Calculate and set stock minimum levels and purchase quantities based on vendor lead times and variable monthly sales volumes.
- Create ad hoc Excel reports analyzing product consumption and sales (units and revenue).
- Reconcile monthly inventory counts including vendor purchases, sales fulfillment, product assemblies, and inter-warehouse transfersProduct Fulfillment & Billing
- Ensure customer orders are being shipped in a timely fashion and resolve fulfillment issues when situation warrants.
- Review billing to ensure proper billing procedures have been followed.
- Interface with accounting regarding payables and product cost.
- Analyze and resolve issues involving product returns, defective inventory, and shipping quality controls.Manufacturing Operations
- Maintain relationship with our manufacturers in Asia, negotiate terms such as pricing, delivery quantity, transportation costs, and product specifications.
- Creating & enter purchase orders and ensure timely processing.
- Monitor vendor lead times and accuracy of order fulfillment.
- Identify and open communication with vendors for new products.
- Oversee quality control, change orders, and problem resolution.Online Store Maintenance
- Maintain product descriptions and characteristics for SKUs using store administration tool.
- Work closely with internal web development team to define requirements and approaches to store upgrades and improvements.Qualifications:
– Minimum 4 years college degree, preferably in a business discipline or the equivalent in related training or work experience. MBA preferred.
– Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience required, including analysis and recommendations.
– Candidates must have excellent MS Excel abilities including writing formulas, manipulating queries, and creating pivot tables & graphs.
– Strong math skills
– Ability to work independently with little supervision; self-motivation a must
– Demonstrates excellent organizational and informational gathering skills.
– Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation by phone.
– Must be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.Our Company
