We are currently seeking a General Manager to work at a luxury spa and fitness center at a premier hotel located in Santa Monica, CA. The facility boasts 12,000 square feet of space with 4 treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure station, a hair salon, and a fitness center with a group class space.
 

 
A General Manager at Plus One manages and directs all operations, staffing, and marketing aspects of the Spa and Fitness Center. He/she act as a direct liaison between Plus One and the Client. Assume the key responsibility/assist the Client Coordinator in the marketing, promotion, planning, and staffing of all programs. Although the General Manager will spend less time on the gym floor than the rest of the professional staff, he or she will maintain a high profile with staff, guests and members.
 

 
The General Manager should have a minimum of five years experience in the fitness field and at least three years experience in small health club management or corporate fitness center management. He/she should possess a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or Hospitality (or a related field), hold a current CPR or First Aid certifications plus one or more certifications from the following organizations: ACSM, ACE or NSCA. A thorough knowledge of staff management, budgeting and customer service, as well as solid computer literacy including expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good interactive/people skills. Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
