We have a need for Health and Medical professionals and clinicians with Emergency Management experience to join our cadre of professionals available to support business development, training, and project work. Individuals join the firm as Independent Contractors who can be called upon as specific needs arise. Initially, cadre members will serve as Advisors and Subject Matter Experts. However, project work may include conducting training courses or serving on longer term projects involving planning, exercises etc.. Consultants will be paid a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Job Description
Hagerty’s Public Health Emergency Management Consultant Cadre may:

• Provide expertise in:
o ESF-8 (Health and Medical) operations
o Business continuity planning and/or continuity of operations planning
o Hazard vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies
o Hospital Incident Command System , Public Health Incident Command System, and Incident Command System
o Health care emergency management standards and regulations, including the Joint Commission Standards.
• Consult with Federal, State and local governments in the private sector on Medical / Public Health Emergency Operations Planning
• Develop and revise comprehensive emergency management plans, annexes and operating procedures
• Teach health and medical courses with special emphasis on health care emergency management
• Provide emergency response training
• Develop and facilitate exercises for health and medical scenarios

Qualifications

Masters or Bachelors Degree in a heath related field.

Valued Experience Includes:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Registered Nurse (R.N), National Registry Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (NREMT-P), Physician Assistant (P.A.)
• Experience in planning and coordination of emergency management activities.
• Expertise in ESF-8
• Emergency Management Accreditation Program training, NIMS/ICS or HICS, experience and professional certifications
• HSEEP training, experience and professional certifications.
• Flexibility and availability to travel for extended periods of time
• Prior consulting experience, including building and managing client relationships
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
• Experience working in multi-functional team environment
