The Sushi Roller must have outstanding communication skills, a friendly personality and be ready to smile all day. They will be required to interact with guests, while assembling their order right in front of them just the way they desire. Must have excellent work ethic combined with speed of service. Must have outgoing, bright personality, strong product knowledge, working knowledge of our menu, familiarity with POS station, and adhere to cash handling procedures. Cleanliness, organization, and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position. Applicants must possess a strong dedication toward guest service and interaction. Responsible for overseeing quality of product, inventory, food cost control, expediting service and working a service position as a Sushi Roller. The qualified candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work cleanly, efficiently, and with respect for quality ingredients and careful attention to preparation. Shift Leader:
The Shift Leader is responsible for all assisting the Restaurant Manager in all operational aspects of the restaurant. The job will entail support of the Restaurant Manager’s agenda including planning, organizing, and training aspects of the restaurant. He/she will have a full working knowledge of all systems, policies and procedures in accordance with owner specifications as well as state laws and regulations.Duties & Responsibilities:
-Implement all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
-Monitor all menu revisions to ensure that the staff is educated and prepared.
-Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
-Maintain a presence on the floor at all times during open hours.
-Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
-Assist in achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, and appearance of facility. A detail-oriented eye for sanitation and cleanliness, to be accomplished through training of staff and creating a positive, productive working environment.
-Control cash and other receipts by following proper cash and receipt handling procedures. -Training staff on these procedures and constantly monitoring adherence to said policies.
-Continually strive to better your staff in all areas of professional development.
-Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
-Be knowledgeable of state employment policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
-Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
-Provide advice and suggestions to Restaurant Manager as needed.
-Participate in weekly meetings with all management staff.
