Human Resources Coordinator for Growing Healthcare Organization (West Los Angeles)

AMR’s employees enjoy an exciting diverse environment with growth opportunities. We are seeking an up and coming individual to serve as the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator for the company. This position has the potential of growing into an HR manager role.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or equivalent combination of skills/knowledge
    • 1-2 years experience in an HR support function
    • Demonstrated knowledge of HR concepts, programs and procedures
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
    • Familiarity with CA state employment law
    • Outstanding ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Desire to expand knowledge of HR and grow into management role
    • Ability to learn operational procedures to become familiar with the product and become an HR business partner
    • Experience using ADP

    The position will be responsible for coordinating all the company’s HR functions including but not limited to:
    1. Recruiting and hiring new employees: job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, references and on-boarding.
    2. Conducting performance reviews and improving employee retention
    3. Administering benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, medical leave, and the company 401k plan.
    4. Preparing and maintaining personnel files (electronic and physical) – includes I9 forms as well as managing the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now).
    5. Assisting with termination processing, including coordination of final pay and unemployment.
    6. Reviewing, updating and maintaining HR and company policies and procedures, along with ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
    7. Explaining and interpreting personnel policies and procedures; answering questions and assisting employees when necessary, directing these individuals to the appropriate sources.
    8. Researching, recommending and coordinating company perks and programs such as company parties, special events, and additional employee incentive programs.
    9. Managing Workers’ Compensation claims and policies.
    10. Serving as a backup for payroll (ADP) and assisting other departments with special projects on an as needed basis.
    11. Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Interest & background in healthcare and entrepreneurial spirit are advantages.
    PHR/SPHR Certification or coursework towards the HR Certificate
    Compensation:
    Based on experience includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation, sick and holiday pay
