Los Angeles based Internet Brands, Inc., a fast-paced, growing internet media company near LAX, is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their HR team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Manager assists with the development of Human Resources programs, practices and objectives that foster a high performance team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about HR and internet media and will not be afraid of taking on new challenges and projects in multiple areas of HR.

AREAS OF FOCUS:
-Benefits administration (open enrollment, special enrollment and carrier management).
-Review and enhance the Employee Relations experience to monitor, improve and continue to enhance the culture.
-Expand and further develop employee orientation and onboarding program to improve the employee experience.
-Policy development, implementation and administration.
-Employee communications and team/morale building initiatives.
-HRIS administration(data integrity, report generation and system troubleshooting).
-Serve as the first line support for most employee relations issues (performance issues, complaints, attendance problems, etc.).
-Manage the LOA and WC processes.
-Act as a back up to the payroll supervisor for payroll processing.
-Assist with compensation administration.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
-Knowledge of multiple HR functions, with hands on experience managing employee relations, benefits, compliance , and ‘on boarding.’
-Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
-Ability to streamline processes, programs and plan designs.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Excellent judgment and objectivity.
-Demonstrated ability to partner with the 1st line management team to provide organizational support.
-Experience with the administration of Human Resources programs.
-Strong conflict management & negotiation skills.
-Experience with managing the LOA and WC claims processes.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-HRIS experience, preferably with Kronos.
-Experience with payroll processing and year end reporting.
-Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development.
-PHR is a plus.
-3+ years of experience in Human Resources (1-2 years in a Manager/Generalist capacity).
-Experience within an internet media company a definite plus.
