INTERN / VOLUNTEER NEEDED (North Hollywood)

  • L.A. Family Housing was founded in 1983 to help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services.
    We are currently planning our annual fundraising event and need an intern to assist with the execution of the event with specific attention to auction planning:

    The right candidate will possess the following skills or experience:

    Experience/Skills wanted:
    – Strong written & verbal skills
    – Strong computer skills (Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook)
    – Strong research skills
    – Some sales experience would be helpful
    – Comfort interacting industry professionals, both on the phone and in person
    – Ability to work independently and responsibly, as well as, take direction with maturity
    – Interest in working in the field of nonprofit event planning

    Bonus points for:
    -graphic design skills
    -database experience

    LOCATIONS: North Hollywood, 91605

    HOURS: 15- 20 hours per week. To begin immediately, and work through May 1, 2012.

    PAY RATE: College Credit Only
