International organization based in Los Angeles is looking for 2 part-time interns for the Spring 2012. This is an internship and university credits may be earned.
Key Responsibilities:
The internship equally involves research activities and providing administrative support for the office.
Administrative Support
* Data gathering and verification.
* Ad hoc projects.Research Support
* Undertake phone interviews and research.
* Contact US companies over the phone.
* Maintain records in support of exporters and matters related to the import of goods into the United States.
* Support American companies in all inquiries about trade and investment opportunities in Latin American.Basic Qualifications
* Pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Economics, Business Administration and/or other relevant field (Junior or Senior).
* Extroverted and strong ability to communicate clearly and persuasively over the phone.
* Strong writing and speaking skills.
* Spanish speaking skills desirable.
* Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Commitment to and passion for your work.
* Desire to learn.Desired but not required
* Knowledge of basic export promotion and trade operations.
* Experience in market and industry research.
* Strong knowledge of data and statistics gathering from US sources.
