IT SPECIALIST (SFV, downtown LA, and Westside)

  • Stable, mid-sized company is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable IT Specialist to maintain and document computer desktop environment, install hardware and software solutions, and provide highly responsible and timely assistance to the Corporate Office and constituents in the field.     QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Complex problem solving, informing others, and quality focus.
    • Hardware and software maintenance, requirements, performance tuning, and updates.
    • Networking knowledge, documentation skills, and reporting skills.
    • Knowledge of configuring routers and switches.
    • Active Directory and Group policy management.
    • Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize and use time efficiently, while adapting to changes in the work environment.
    • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
    • Must own vehicle, have excellent driving record.
    • Must be flexible with work schedule.
    • Knowledge of electronic document management system.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Maintain server, backups, and individual computers.
    • Implement desktop rollout projects; install hardware and software.
    • Resolve problems by conferring with Executive Team and Senior Mgmt.
    • Provide timely deployment, training, and support for all Corporate entities.
    • Maintain quality service by defining desktop standards, while establishing and enforcing organizational standards and best practices.
    • Report on traffic and trends, and identify and implement new technologies to increase features and value.
    • Maintain VOIP and other telecommunication systems.
    • Excellent IT documentation skills and produce IT Manuals.
    • RG45 cabling.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors or Certificate in Computer Technology + 3 years experience.
    • MCSE Certification a plus.
    • Working knowledge of networks, SQL management, routers and switches.
    • Windows XP, Windows 7, and Win 2003 and 2009 servers.
    • Strong knowledge of computer components, peripherals, and popular application software.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (2010) a plus!
    • Knowledge of PosiTouch Point of Sale software a plus!
