Summary:
KHEIR Center is currently seeking an organized, entrepreneurial & resourceful Job Training Coordinator for its new Job Training Program for Residents of Los Angeles. The Coordinator will be hands on and take ownership of the day-to-day operations and implementation of the new program. He/She will develop, implement and modify, as needed, program plans. This person will oversee quality, compliance, outcomes and will spearhead overall decision making for the Spanish-speaking student population. This person will communicate with his counterpart, implementing the program for Korean population. The Coordinator will also participate in the City audits to ensure compliance. Responsibilities will be accomplished in conjunction with the Director of Administration & HR and the Director of Strategic Planning & Development. The Coordinator will report to the Director of Administration & HR.Distinguishing Features of Work:
Provide support services to adults in the community, looking to enhance their employability or parents desiring to update their skills & knowledge of technology to become better engaged parents. Support services include student recruitment, referrals, counseling, assessment, diagnostics, and report writing. This work takes place mostly at KHEIR. Additional responsibilities include student registration, scheduling, and participation maintenance.Primary Responsibilities:
Provide Direct Services
• Identify community needs and participate in development of new education programs.
• Provide direct support service to individual adult students, small groups, and classrooms.
• Complete assessments, referrals, and counseling with students and families.
• Develop and maintain outreach programs and community partnerships.
• Conduct professional development & recruitment workshops on identifying target students.
• Maintain and oversee student attendance record.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Spanish training programs.
• Assist in overall management of programs including contractor assignment, budget control, and performance measures based on the program goals.
• Assist in development and implementation of curriculum & student registration and policies & procedures.
• Supervise individuals from consulting organizations.
• Act as a liaison with outside auditors and government agencies with the support of the Director. Research and resolve all audit related issues.
• Assist in conducting training programs.
• Serve as a member of the Healthcare Job Training support team.
• Complete & transmit accountability reports as required by Federal, State and local agencies.
• Make oral presentations of assessments, diagnostics, and observations.
• Assist with curriculum development for technology & healthcare job training programs.
• Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Masters degree preferred. Spanish-bilingual is a must.
Experience: Two years+ related work experience providing the service required for the position.- Location: LosAngeles, CA
