Junior Designer (Santa Monica)

  • Our high-end Interior Design firm is seeking entry level interior designers for our growing business. We are looking for someone who is EXTREMELY detail oriented and organized.

    <br>
    Daily tasks include the following:
    <br>
    Documenting projects through field measurements, photography and scanning.
    <br>
    Gathering vendor quotes, generating and processing proposals and purchase orders, and general project administration.
    <br>
    Maintaining organized and current project files, including project directory, proposals, correspondence, materials, etc (hard copies and digital).
    <br>
    Maintaining client and vendor relations.
    <br>
    Maintaining organized and minimal project inventory in stacks.
    <br>
    Expediting orders including approving CFAs, checking in fabric, shipping fabric to furniture vendors, approving custom prototypes/mock-ups, tracking the status of pending items, ensuring that items are fabricated/procured in a timely manner, and coordinating shipping and delivery of the items and ultimately installation of items.
    <br>
    Coordination of regular shipping and messenger services.
    <br>
    Pulling samples materials and finishes from library and showrooms for scheming purposes.
    <br>
    Preparation for client meetings including boards, samples and specifications/quotes.
    <br>
    Occasional off-site meetings with vendors and/or clients, including jobsites, to check project progress.
    <br>
    Assisting other Jr. Designers in maintaining sample library.
    <br>
    Assisting other Jr. Designers with occasional phone duty.
    <br>
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
