Litigation Legal Secretary/Paralegal/Office Administrator
Great opportunity to work for top-rated Boutique Complex Litigation Law Firm located in downtown Los Angeles in premier facilities. Must have a minimum of 7 years experience as a litigation secretary and paralegal as well as being able to handle office administration work. This position is for someone who is a strong leader. Must be a self starter who can work independently and is highly organized, detailed oriented, able to multi-task, and have a positive upbeat personality, be punctual and dependable. Must be technologically sophisticated.
Some Qualifications include:
• Must be proficient in e-filing, state and federal trial and appellate courts
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be proficient at scanning documents into PDF, saving into the computer case files, and maintaining hard-copy files in an up-to-date, neat, and organized fashion
• Must have a professional telephone demeanor and professional appearance
• Must be able to calendar using Microsoft Outlook, send reminders, and calendar discovery response and hearing dates
• Must be able to book court reporters, travel arrangement, conference room arrangements, etc.
• Must be able to keep a tab on bills and invoices and interface proactively with book keeper and Office manager.
• Must be able to use PC law (software) or commit to become proficient in PC law soon following hiring (time keeping program)
• Must be able to review and index electronic documents for systematic location and retrieval when needed
• Must be able to write properly without spelling or grammatical errors
• Must be extremely detail oriented, work well within a team environment, have the ability to meet tight deadlines, and must exercise confidentiality and sound judgmentHours are typically 9:00 am sharp – 5:30 pm with some flexibility for overtime.
