Position Summary: Harvest Home is seeking a mature Christian woman to fill a live-in House Manager position responsible for supporting Harvest Home’s residential program serving homeless, pregnant women. The house manager is the ‘Mom’ of the home who upholds house policies; lends an ear and patiently guides each woman; resolves conflict between residents shops for groceries and household items; actively participates in the intake process; orients new residents; and accomplishes some basic administrative tasks. This position is a key position in affecting life change in the resident’s lives.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Upholding Program Standards
a. Promote the well-being and growth of residents by modeling and encouraging healthy communication, sound decision-making, and upholding house policies.
b. Maintain professionalism with residents, community members, staff and the general public.
c. Reinforce program and case management goals.
d. Serve as a contributing staff member by participating in weekly staff meetings as well as training and development opportunities.
e. Work as a team with all other staff to provide comprehensive client services.
f. Encourage residents to maintain a cooperative attitude toward the program and to one another.
2. Direct Service
a. Support residential program in providing seamless 24-hour, 7 day week coverage in conjunction with the part-time house manager.
b. Coordinate household activities such as chores, menu planning and cooking.
c. Assist with intake screening by performing telephone interviews and in-person interviews with the Case Manager.
d. Responsible for the general safety, overall cleanliness and well-being of the residents and facility.
e. Document daily activities of the home and its residents. Make other staff aware of potential patterns, issues or situations.
f. Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution and related support services to residents.
g. Respond quickly to on-call notifications.
h. Provide transportation in emergency situations.
i. Provide on-call overnight coverage Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings 10pm to 9am.3. Administrative Responsibilities
a. Accurately and thoroughly document contact with residents and other household activities.
b. Provide basic administrative and facility support to the home, such as photocopying, organizing, running household errands and so forth.
c. Maintain an expense account for groceries and household items. Provide monthly reports and receipts for reimbursement.

Sunday — 1pm to 10pm, Monday — 2pm to 10pm, Tuesday — 2pm to 10pm, Wednesday — 2pm to 10pm, Thursday — 2pm to 10pm, Corresponding on call responsibilities for days worked. Friday / Saturday — Off and no on-call.COMPENSATION / SCHEDULE
• 1 bedroom and private bath in a home (single individual unit) located in Venice, CA.
