Operations:  Manager, Inventory Planning & Forecasting

The operations group is looking for a Manager, Inventory Planning & Forecasting who will utilize data and analysis to effectively forecast product buys and efficiently manage inventory levels for a fast moving, successful start-up in Santa Monica!  It will require you run day-to-day operations while evaluating and implementing the tools needed to ramp our business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build a new Planning & Forecasting group
• Analyze data for accurate forecasting and purchasing of inventory
• Review and evaluate different ERP solutions for an enterprise solution and implement
• Manage multiple vendors and negotiate contracts of all kinds
• Manage and grow a team

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• Buying and / or purchasing experience
• Hands on procurement experience — forecasting/purchasing
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills — pivot tables, vlookups, macros, etc.
• Multiple inventory control systems experience — implementing a plus!
• You have worked with multiple product verticals — fashion also a ++
• Experience working with overseas and domestic suppliers
• Contract negotiation skills
• Buying experience a plus
• You can easily manage teams of 1 – 6
