Marketing Coordinator (Burbank)

  • General Purpose

    This highly organized self starter will provide support to the marketing team by assisting with all aspects of day-to-day department operations, scheduling, coordination and project oversight. Assist with meetings, basic inquiries, departmental tasks and general project management. Must understand the creative and strategic aims of marketing campaigns and initiatives in order to manage projects effectively from conception through execution. Must also be highly detail oriented and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Should be willing to perform any tasks assigned by their supervisor including administrative jobs as needed.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Assist in the creation of systems and processes for the effective and timely management of all marketing projects, participants and tasks
    • Effectively leverage process and process documents to create project descriptions, manage schedules, build task lists and coordinate all participants and related activities to ensure that all marketing jobs are executed on time and as promised
    • Conduct online research as needed, creating reports for use by marketing team
    • Assist in strategic visioning and ideation as needed
    • Report on issues, conflicts, delays, and productivity on all “live” marketing projects and initiatives
    • Support new business development staff with basic materials, marketing, presentation needs
    • Update and maintain database of approved marketing materials, case studies and business development tools
    • Set up and schedule meetings with all internal and external participants
    • Maintain database of marketing contacts, resources and third-party contributors
    • Coordinate/set up meetings, conference rooms, gather all necessary meeting materials, order/pick up meals and beverages, arrange travel, and run departmental errands as mandated by the supervisor

    Education and Experience

    • College degree; preferably BS in communications, advertising or marketing
    • 2-3 years experience in assistance and coordination within a marketing department
    • Understanding of the marketing mix; basic marketing principles
    • Demonstrable understanding of digital and social media
    • Proven ability to conduct high-level market research
    • Relevant industry knowledge
    • Proficient with MS Office and InDesign
