LA Testing Inc is currently seeking a Full Time Environmental Microbiologist (Mycology experience is preferred) for its South Pasadena, CA lab location. LA TESTING is an environmental commercial lab that offers the chance to work for a stable and privately owned company that promotes within.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the analysis of microbial and bioaerosol samples. The ideal candidate must be familiar with daily laboratory duties, including the analysis of samples, adherence to the QA/QC Program and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure that all work is performed and documented in accordance with existing policies, current Good Laboratory Practices and health and safety requirements. Preparation of various laboratory samples including: air, bulk, water, surface, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree and/or Masters Mycology/Microbiology/Biology (Required)

Strong background in Mycology is desired.

Experience in Environmental testing of bioaerosols and microbial analysis is strongly preferred

Previous Microscopy experience is desired

Applicant will be trained to enumerate, identify and confirm a wide variety of bacteria and fungi.

Must be able to work in fast paced setting, multi-task, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Hours are M – F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (must be flexible) Some weekends may be required to meet business demands.
