United Steps has several positions open – this ad is for the Operations Director.

Operations Director:

Hours: 25 per week

Description: This person would be the glue of the staff. They would handle inquiries to Executive Director, oversee volunteer
coordination, event volunteer activities, as well as the webmaster, receptionist, social media director, Field Representatives, and
Event Planner. Operations Director is responsible to equip the staff with the tools, encouragement, and coaching they need to
perform their duties as well as any follow up needs. Follows up with volunteer and staff concerns as needed.
Reports to: This person reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED or Equivalency. Previous Management Experience required.

Desired Strengths: Ability to assess strengths / weaknesses. Strong leadership and management skills required. Ability to work
with almost no supervision in a results-oriented environment. Ability to communicate vast information in a 30-second “elevator
pitch” style. Metrics desired reported are “results”. Steps taken to “get there” should be documented for best practices, not
reported. Accountability for the performance of the staff is a must. Candidate must be extremely organized, able to think on their
feet, and change plans / methods rapidly. Candidate must be able to attend events and coordinate volunteer activities. Able to
manage, coach, and encourage volunteers and staff morale and performance in a non-profit environment.

Pay: $15/hr.
