Pastry Chef for heavy ice cream production & Rustic desserts (Hollywood, CA)

Responsibilities would include preparing cookies, daily specials, ice creams, sorbets and other pastry mise en place on a daily basis. Lots of ice cream and sorbet production. Desserts are rustic, often fruit based. 5 days/nights a week. Includes weekends. Competitive hourly wage or salary. Pastry experience and good attitude required. Pastry Cooks should be looking to blossom, if not rocket their career! Pastry Cooks that have great pedigree and are looking to grow are encouraged to apply. Up and coming professionals with a minimum of two years experience will be considered. Ideal for someone who wants to be a Pastry Chef.
Qualifications:
– Must have thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Must have knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends and holidays
– Must have excellent organizational and communicational skills
– Must have the ability to assist in creating and developing new, creative menus
