L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, part of Viceroy Hotel Group, is looking for an extraordinary part time Pastry Cook to join our Culinary team. L’Ermitage is a 5 Star, 5 Diamond hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills, offering the personalized touch and familiar ambiance of an exclusive residence.
Job Scope:
Reporting to our Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook will prepare and plate innovative desserts and amenities.Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare all food items according to recipe standards
• Responsible for creative plating and garnishing of desserts and pastries. (i.e. Chocolate work, ice creams, confections, and bread)
• Maintain Health Department standards and follow correct food handling procedures
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Follow all established policies and procedures
• Carry out any other duties that may be assigned, including helping out on savory line as needed, and as work load allowsJob Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years Pastry Cook experience in a working kitchen preferred
• Previous Experience in a luxury hotel and/or fine dining environment preferred
• Apprenticeship or pastry degree from an accredited institution preferred
• Understanding of vegan and dairy free pastry options preferred
• Comprehensive preparation and knife skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment while maintaining a “can do” and positive attitude
• Flexible schedule
