Responsible for the management, organization and control of the production activities of the company, ensuring efficient use of the equipment, materials and personnel. Responsible for participating in the formulation of the production policy of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates production planning such as production standards, product improvement, product development, financial impacts, personnel issues, material supply, and marketing and distribution with the VP of Operations and department managers to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives.
• Monitors the implementation of the long-term production plans into daily operational plans.
• Analyses any variance between the production plans and actual production and corrects controllable variances.
• Revises and approves production programs, including time and cost estimates, material and personnel requirements.
• Controls and analyses losses due to QA rejection and damage and coordinates with other departments on preventative measures.
• Coordinates with materials manager adequate levels of inventory.
• Creates procedures and systems for inspecting and reporting production operations such as operating costs, inventory control, staffing, physical plant layout and equipment performance.
• Coordinates production activities based on sales forecasts.
• Creates and implements measures for increasing efficiency and profitability within the production process.
• Coordinates with Research and Development in improving the quality of raw materials and finished products.
• Monitors and evaluates production staff performance.
• Implements Company Rules and Regulations.
• Implements Company Safety and Health Programs.
• Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in your employee handbook
• Performs any and all other duties as deemed necessary by the company.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology
• 5-10 years prior experience in related industry
