Asbestos PLM Analyst Needed
Patriot Environmental Laboratories Services, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Asbestos PLM Analyst for a position in our laboratory department.
This is a full-time position, some late hours, weekend, and holiday work may be necessary for this position.

Applicants MUST possess at a minimum:

- 2 years experience in the analysis of asbestos in bulk materials using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) in a NVLAP accredited laboratory.
- Capable of analysis by EPA 600/R-93/116 and Point Counting (400 and 1000 points).
- Good communication and computer skills

* Analysis of airborne asbestos/fiber counting by NIOSH 7400-A (Phase Contrast Microscopy, PCM) is a PLUS.

Specific duties for this position include but are not limited to:

- Analysis of bulk materials for asbestos using PLM
- Prioritization of samples in queue for analysis
- Monitoring of laboratory supplies and reagents
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Development and maintenance of log books
- Analysis of QC samples
- General laboratory maintenance
