    OPPORTUNITY:
    The Procurement Manager will lead the organization in all major sourcing decisions. In addition to developing best practices for procurement and purchasing, they will also work closely with department heads to develop a procurement strategy for each major cost category. In addition to shopping for the best price, he/she will also be searching for best quality of service or product. The Procurement Manager will manage all vendor relationships for Green Dot. S/he will arrange for the purchasing of all materials, equipment, property and services that the organization needs to function. The Procurement Manager will leverage Green Dot’s size and rapid growth to drive the most value to the organization and build deeper relationships with the organization’s vendors.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Some examples of the work of the Procurement Manager:
    > Develop tools to enable to build out the Green Dot sourcing function including standard RFPs, contract terms and a procurement calendar.
    > Procures computer automation equipment, network systems, telecommunications, general office equipment, furnishings, supplies and miscellaneous services through new contracts, competitive bids or existing contracts.
    > Manage the organization’s textbook purchasing process.
    > Create, maintain and update approved vendor list.
    > Meets with vendors and contractors to ensure quantity and item description satisfy the need of the requestor.
    > Obtains new and updated certificates from insurance carriers and answers all questions regarding insurance requirements and policies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    > A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university.
    > Knowledge and understanding of procurement methods, principles and terminology.
    > 4+ years of business experience with progressing responsibility, including sourcing, purchasing and related functions.
    >Proficient in analyzing data and making business recommendations to executives.
    > Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
    > Excellent customer service.
    > Ability to exercise and use sound business judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
    > Able to and work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
    > Effective communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations and communicate issues clearly to diverse stakeholders
    > Ability to maintain positive relations with colleagues at all levels
    > Ability to develop and strengthen relationships with vendors to increase the value they provide to Green Dot
    > Strong sense of integrity, ethics, and drive to achieve and grow
    > Humility, sense of humor, and rock-solid commitment to Green Dot’s mission and the communities we serve

    COMPENSATION:
