typeF.com is the ground-breaking new Fashion and Beauty destination, created by Demand Media and Bankable Enterprises, Tyra Bank’s Fashion and Entertainment company.
Launched in March 2011, typeF.com is creating a fashion and beauty revolution-providing a new way for women everywhere discover and celebrate their unique personal style. Inspired by Tyra’s mission to expand the definition of beauty, typeF.com provides a customized site experience, specifically tailored to each woman’s individual body, skin and hair type. typeF provides practical solutions and daily inspiration, and connects a vibrant community built on the celebration of confidence and individuality.
typeF.com features articles, videos, and product recommendations designed to help women discover the fashion and beauty solutions that are most relevant to them. Original video series and premium content featuring Tyra and prominent fashion experts explore the latest trends from the catwalk to the sidewalk and explain how to make them work for real women everywhere. Interactive applications such as Beauty School, offer customized step-by-step hair, skin and makeup tips from established professionals.
With a recent highly successful launch of the site, we are now building out key members of our typeF team. We are looking for a Product Management dynamo- a market leader with a passion for creating an entirely new style experience, Come and help us lead this fashion and beauty revolution!
Responsibilities:
• Lead the vision, strategy and execution of the typeF product/brand.
• Manage the typeF team and key stakeholders (product, design, user experience, marketing, SEO, Sales etc..) to defined and timely deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with typeF GM on the overall strategy and plan execution.
• Product Design — 50%; Project Management & Development Guidance — 40%; Special projects at the request of management — 10%.
• Drive social strategy by developing applications that encourage users to participate and share across Facebook, Twitter,Tumblr, Pinterest and other burgeoning social networks.
• Manage communications around product launches that include partners and key stakeholders.
• Draw up wireframes and create user stories for pages and/or features to illustrate concepts.
• Lead creative / design reviews and user testing against brand goals and values.
• Gather data through tests or competitive research to size opportunities for prioritization and shape products to be as engaging and useful as possible.
• Collaborate with internal monetization and ad sales teams to define new and optimize existing revenue opportunities.
• Work with account managers to monitor and track success of branded campaigns.
• Actively identify and manage risks to ensure predictable outcomes.
Requirements:
• 5-7 years of significant product / project management experience in an online media site or social networking site.
• Experience in Fashion, Beauty and Women’s lifestyle categories preferred.
• Experience collaborating closely with partners to execute on a mutual vision.
• Experience working on an image-driven, design-focused, socially oriented site a plus.
• Self starter; entrepreneurially minded; with track record of over-delivering on expectations.
• Strong leadership skills; must establish credibility within teams as a knowledgeable, effective and collaborative leader.
• Comfortable managing the technical aspects of a website/web product.
• Experience with SEO and various monetization channels.
• Proven track record as a product manager – complete life cycles of winning products in a fast-paced environment .
• Must be a committed team player, able to work both independently and interact with executive management, and other staff members.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work and strive in a fast pace environment.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Omniture and excel as tools to manage your business.
• Experience leading teams of 6-12 people.
