A leading retailer is currently searching for a Product Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience buying, developing, sourcing and importing finished goods for resale. This individual must show strong negotiation skills, communicate effectively, be decisive, and have a discerning eye for quality. The ideal candidate is a dependable, proactive, forward-thinking individual who takes ownership in his/her work. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, materials, and machining a plus.

Qualifications should include:
• Previous experience in major name brand manufacturer.
• 3 years combined experience importing finished goods from China and inventory management.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to travel domestic and abroad.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus (both conversational and reading/writing).
• Knowledge of injection molding, machining, and prototyping a plus.

Duties will include:
• Create and develop relationships with manufacturers with emphasis on managing importation of finished goods for resale.
• Place purchase orders and manage relationships with domestic distributors and wholesalers.
• Improve/implement demand oriented inventory planning.
• Analyze trends and identify new products to ramp up current product offerings.
• Oversee inventory management (coordinating inventory counts, audits, etc.).
• Develop efficiencies to cut costs and minimize inventory losses.

Education and work experience: BS/BA degree.
