This is an opportunity for a Professional Services Engineer to enhance and further develop their current skills, in a challenging work environment with responsibility for sophisticated and complex special projects on an on-going basis.

Summary:

Assess, design, and implement IT security solutions for Mid-market to Enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sales – Assist the Aurora sales team with the pre-sales process by providing Proof of Concepts (POC), web-exs, and demonstrations of Aurora IT Security solutions..
• Design – Develop custom IT Security solutions based on customer requirements built from approved vendor products and our own consulting services..
• Project Manage — Engineer will be responsible for managing project timelines and expectations with the customer. This position will report directly to the Director of Professional Services..
• Implement Engineer will be part of the implementation process of the solution. Typical implementations will be done on-site or remotely over the internet.
• Post Sales — Engineer will be responsible to follow up with customer after each project and report back to the sales team for any further sales opportunities as well as any issues that need to be resolved from the deployment.
• Training — Engineer will be part of an on-going training to ensure that Aurora PSO engineers are current in IT security technologies and experts at implementing select products

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the IT industry.
• Experience in installing or managing complex IT solutions such as encryption, DLP, disaster recovery, endpoint security, asset management, mail and/or web security, within a medium (250 nodes) to large network environment.
• Must have a good understanding of current Windows server and desktop operating systems as well as some experience with Linux based operating systems.
• Technical certifications and CCNA, CISSP, MCSE a plus. Must possess proven technical skills listed below.

Technical Skill Set Required:

• Some experience with security related software and appliances such as PGP Universal server, PGP WDE, Guardian Edge products, McAfee Security related products and appliances, Symantec related products and appliance.
• Strong Microsoft product administration experience (5+ years) such as Windows Servers 2003, 2008, Exchange 2007+, Active Directory, MS SQL.
• Strong understanding of Windows networking.

• 2 to 3 years Linux administration experience a plus (RedHat, CentOS)

Not Required but a Plus:

• Any Cisco certification
• Any Programming languages (PHP, .NET, Perl, C#)

Training:

Candidate will participate in our training program.

Travel:

This position requires frequent travel across the country of up to 10 days a month. We also require frequent travel to local customer sites located throughout the Los Angeles area. Candidate must drive own vehicle to client sites and have a valid Drivers’ License and auto insurance.
