The FOX Audience Network (FAN) is a unit of News Corporation that supports monetization efforts across the company’s online content portfolio, as well as third-party publisher sites. FAN leverages proprietary advertising technology to create highly-targeted advertising campaigns for a wide range of marketers, while also delivering cutting-edge tools and services to third-party publisher partners.

At FAN, project management serves as the gatekeeper between the needs of the business and the technical resources required to execute against them. Project managers at FAN coordinate with internal and external stakeholders: engineering, system operations, sales, marketing, service providers, key customers, product management, legal, finance, etc.

Specific projects for this position will include:

• Enterprise-wide data collection system

• User targeting and forecasting applications

Duties:

• Develop and track against project plans; assess timelines and escalate risks to management

• Drive project team accountability to ensure critical milestones and deadlines are met (engineering and product development)

• Define and document implementation plans and dependencies with all involved technical stakeholders

• Identify and keep track of project tasks, system defects, and backlog

• Review product requirements to ensure they are thoroughly defined with all business and project stakeholders prior to developing a project plan

• Facilitate project team meetings to identify key action items and blockers

• Work across teams to manage shared resources, interdependencies and other cross-team timelines

• Primary contact for all phases and components of the project

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 2 years experience as a project coordinator/manager

• Software development and/or technical project management experience

• Problem solving abilities

• Ability to document and update processes

• Previous experience organizing and/or managing project schedules

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Tools/Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel and Word required

• Experience with agile, critical path and waterfall methodologies

• Comfort with enterprise-class wiki system as primary method for project organization and knowledge sharing

Personality traits:

• Exemplary organizational and communication skills

• A great attitude, with the capacity to keep the project team motivated and on task

• Mediation and/or conflict resolution skills

• Ability to prioritize,without sacrificing flexibility

• Team player that excels in a collaborative environment

Bonus points:

• Knowledge of online ad system technologies (e.g., ad serving & optimization, targeting)

• Technical degree (MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or development experience, preferably with Java-based technologies
