Responsible for the development of new products and the improvement of existing product lines. Plans, coordinates, and organizes all activities of Research & Development to achieve key objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the development of new products and the improvement of existing product lines as requested
• Responsible for sourcing raw materials for new products
• Establishes specifications and standards as basis for raw materials
• Prepares preliminary trial formulations of new products
• Provides technical information about new products to be launched and coordinates with Marketing and Accounting regarding strategies and cost analysis
• Coordinates with Plant Operations and QC, providing specifications, standards, procedures and processing of new products
• Monitors all ongoing, approved experiment design and R&D approaches
• Reviews, checks and endorses all reports, requisitions and communications submitted by researchers
• Monitors and regulations staff performance
• Prepares and presents all R&D reports required by top management in a timely manner
• Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbook
• Performs other duties/tasks as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or Chemistry Nutrition
• An equivalent five (5) years experience in a similar position and industry
