An experienced Bilingual Sanitation Lead/3rd shift is needed in the San Fernando Valley. Kelly Services is a well-established and respected workforce solution provider. We have a valued client in the San Fernando Valley who is in need of a Sanitation Lead. This is a full-time/3rd shift from 6:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
 
Job Requirements:
 
1- Schedule the appropriate number of sanitors, as needed, to accomplish tasks on a daily basis.
 
2- Ensure that “days off,” are covered.
 
3- Monitor that sanitors take the appropriate breaks, at the most appropriate times.
 
4- Provide training to new employees; and, re-training for all on a pre-determined basis.
 
5- Conduct weekly (or, otherwise) meetings, documented, to maintain optimum interaction/communication.
 
6- Oversee timely dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and setting up of equipment… as required.
 
7- Oversee Sanitation “Master Cleaning Schedule” (often referred to as PSS (Preventative Sanitation Schedule). To ensure that various tasks are completed as designated in the schedule (ie: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual).
 
8- Comply with Earth Island Company policies and procedures, including Safety.
 
9- Monitor water and chemical usage, and cleaning supplies inventory/usage.
 
10- Provide Sanitation support to other departments where needed.
 
11- Maintain a good line of communication with all departments to include QA and Maintenance.
 
12- Ensuring that required records, documentation, and sign-offs are maintained as requested.
 
13- Support QA in adherence to established production and quality standards.
 
14- Support all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
 
15- Ensure that all sanitors wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), that is required.
 
16- Monitor chemical concentrations, used by sanitors, to ensure that they comply with specifications.
 
17- Ensure that all sanitors understand our MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and their location.
 
18- Provide discipline when appropriate.
 
19- Ensure that any unsafe condition /equipment is reported immediately.
 
Qualifications:
 
1- Ability to work with people with varying levels of education, communication skills, expertise.
 
2- Bi-lingual (Spanish – English)
 
3- Good leadership skills. Ability and desire to provide direction to others to achieve results.
 
4- Good verbal and written communication skills.
 
5- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
 
6- Basic knowledge and understanding of related work requirements in a food processing environment.
 
7- Detail oriented, and basic math, a strong plus.
