Cut & Sew contract work for small but rapidly growing children’s line

We are currently looking for contract sewing help for production of our designs. Production will begin immediately. To be eligible, you must have your own production quality sewing machine’s, including a surger, and a glue gun. Must be capable of producing retail quality product’s, including professional sewn seams and finishes in a timely manor. Work is paid per piece for each properly finished garment. Example of rates paid are as follows; $8.00 for elastic minky slip covers with canopy, $7.00 for dresses, $3.00 for skirts, $6 for rompers, $4.00 for leggings, $2.00 for Onesie’s, $2.00 for baby wipe cases. Fabric will need to be cut according to simple patterns, constructed, and finished. Patterns are handmade, not industry standard. Notions, glue sticks and material are provided (excluding thread). Patterns are copyrighted property and may not be duplicated in any manor. Most of our patterns are VERY simple and can be completed quickly.
Currently we produce approx. 5,500 pieces per year during the busy seasons. We anticipate a 15% increase for Spring 2012. We are looking for at least 3~4 contract seamstress/ glue gunners, and are flexible as to the volume you can handle per week. Work will be split among contract seamstresses. All contracted garments must be completed within 4-5 days of receipt and can then be exchanged for another production batch and pay. Volume per week will vary. We are based out of Santa Clarita, California and expect ALL orders to be picked up and dropped off once a week to our main office in Southern California (Santa Clarita), locals only, sorry.
If you meet these qualifications, please apply, all applicants will be emailed a test sample pattern, you will have to print the pattern and then sew a sample, when completed you will ship the item to the office. If sample work is approved after the garment is reviewed, you will be given more orders.
You work from home and can set your own hours, turn around time is 4 days.
